Escape from the City now becomes a whole other show.
Movies they could show during the lockdown:
Escape from New York
The Great Escape
Escape from the Planet of the Apes
Escape
Escape from Alcatraz
I’m using this time to catch up on shows
Good observations – will be interesting to see if it is sustained.
BTW, the reason for the doubling of Melbourne audience for World’s Busiest Train Stations was that the 9 July episode was all about Flinders St station! I tuned in because of the novelty.
Was wondering this myself the other day, we do need an outlet / escapism again, seems TV (and no doubt streaming, gaming, etc would also be huge). Thank you for the story, good insight.
Suspect the viewing numbers for streaming are through the the roof for Melbourne
Some variation there. ~20-30k in many cases. I wonder how streaming is affected?
Wow, 7 News, The Project & ABC News went up – and 9 News went down. What do you make of that?
However Nine news was easy up in Melbourne earlier in the week for the announcements, getting 400k+
9news and 7news Melbourne changes from day to day.
Personally, I was watching the live Dan Andrews and Jenny Mikako announcements on The Age and then later on in the night watching ABC News to get further updates and views on it. Rather than just The Age reports on that dedicated covid-19 blog that go along with it, so basically not watching Nine News as they own the Age/Sydney Morning Herald … maybe others were as well(?).
