Seven News recently reported on growing patients in Melbourne hospitals, but used footage of an Italian hospital in the process.
It was detected on social media, before being deleted online, and yesterday noted by Paul Barry on Media Bytes.
A Seven spokesperson told TV Tonight, “This was an unfortunate error during the editing process on a frenetic news day.
“The news package was removed from online as soon as we were alerted to the error.”

It’s not “oops”, it’s fake news!!
“This was an unfortunate error….” caused by our editor manipulating the picture to remove the Sky News logo.
haha yeah exactly
Sounds typical of mainstream media to try beat up a story… shameful.
