Returning: Bad Banks

German-Luxembourgian drama returns to SBS next week.

German-Luxembourgian drama (I don’t get to write that often) Bad Banks returns to SBS next week in a late slot.

Season 2 is a 6 part series which debuted internationally in January.

Bad Banks takes us again on a daredevil journey into the world of high finance, which, after the crisis, is more than ever faced with massive upheaval. New players are stirring up the traditional system and the game of power, manipulation, and personal ambition continues. But this time – it’s all or nothing.

Season Two, Episode One: Brave New World
Six months after the crash and the state bailout of Deutsche Global Invest, the cards are being reshuffled. Gabriel Fenger is in custody, and the arch manipulator, Christelle Leblanc, has been side- lined as head of investment banking – along with Jana, Adam, and Thao.

Tuesday, 21 July at 11.30pm on SBS.

    1. A repeat of S2 of Cardinal.

Luxembourg is the tax haven where the German banking system is located, so makes sense. I couldn’t get into Bad Banks.
