10 has confirmed a premiere for its limited run of Family Feud specials which will screen on Tuesday nights in primetime from mid-August.
This will presumably mean Masked Singer will shift to Sundays / Mondays with The Bachelor on Wednesday / Thursdays but that’s yet to be confirmed.
It may be sunny outside, but over at Family Feud HQ, TV Week Gold Logie Award-winning host Grant Denyer, is ready to make it rain with a whopping $100,000 up for grabs.
So join us to celebrate Australia’s nurses, teachers, firies and farmers in this very special television event, and back them to take home the game’s biggest ever cash prize.
Tuesday, 18 August at 7.30pm on 10.

When exactly were these new episodes filmed? (presumably at TEN’s Pyrmont studios?)
With a (socially distanced) studio audience?
I believe during first lockdown… probably no studio audience, unclear. Did we ever see them anyway?
I just wonder then if it will have a different vibe with no applause or laughter when introducing contestants or unexpected moments etc. Though there is always the canned variety, using laughter and applause tracks from who knows when!
You would see the audience during the opener fly-in and then on the reverse angle shots when Grant would deliver their answers to the survey board.
No studio audience for these records I believe.
I don’t think that was the case when it moved to Sydney. Small Pyrmont studio.
When in Sydney – still had the fly in shot but didn’t see as much of rear seat audience – the shot/reverse shot was definitely there and still saw all audience (Whatever was behind the 2 shot)
I can’t wait! Did all of the episodes filmed of Celebrity Name Game get shown?
Hopefully this rates well enough so 10 can bring back Family Feud as a nightly show again, would be good for that to happen considering there is no game shows on 10 at the moment.
Yes, I really do hope that 10 will bring this back permanently (and stick with it) as it really is such a great, feel-good game show. As they say, it’s “Australia’s favourite”, so it would probably be in their best interest to bring it back.
If it really was ‘Australia’s favourite it wouldn’t have rated below 300k by the end of its run.
Spot on Sav – it was a tired format towards the end. Over-exposed/10 relied on it too much. Odd to bring it back – almost desperate.
there are plenty of games shows on 10 every reality tv show is a game show where they win a prize
As in studio-based, afternoon game shows…
