SBS gets Gold for LGBTIQ+ inclusion

While ABC was one of many corporations awarded Bronze in the recent Australian Workplace Equality Index Awards, SBS received Gold recognition.
The #AWEI recognises employers who are working to create inclusive workplaces for members of the LGBTIQ+ community, as well as efforts to advance inclusive outcomes in society and the community more generally.
SBS Managing Director James Taylor said, “I’m proud to work with a passionate and dedicated team making a more inclusive and welcoming home for members of the LGBTQI+ community. Every step, small or large, makes a difference, and this is a great acknowledgement of SBS’s efforts and particularly that of our Pride & Allies Committee.”
The recognition came before recent criticism over workplace culture from former Indigenous employees.
