Seven scores on another quiet Thursday

Ratings: News and sport dominate a quiet night of viewing. ABC leads early slots.

It was another quiet Thursday with news and sport dominating viewing with The Chase as the top entertainment show.

Seven’s AFL drew 512,000 across the network, while NRL on Nine managed  339,000 / 37,000 on Nine / 9GEM.

7:30 won its slot at 542,000 then Celebrity Gogglebox USA (352,000), The Heights (228,000), Territory Cops (215,000 in 3 cities) and World’s Busiest Train Stations (213,000).

Later Escape from the City drew 308,000 then a Harry Potter movie drew 255,000 across Seven’s network, Law & Order: SVU (216,000 / 198,000) and When Buildings Collapse (150,000).

Seven network won Thursday with 32.0% then Nine 26.6%, 10 17.5%, ABC 15.9% and SBS 8.0%.

Seven News was #1 with 1.11m / 1.06m for Seven. The Chase drew was the top rating entertainment show at 632,000 / 394,000. Home & Away was 590,000.

Nine News led for Nine with 1.06m / 958,000 and topped the demos, then A Current Affair (727,000) and Hot Seat (566,000 / 360,000). Serial Killer with Piers Morgan was 104,000 in 3 cities.

The Project drew 467,00 / 320,000 for 10. 10 News First was 401,000 / 260,000.

ABC News won its slot with 763,000. Sammy J (388,000), The Drum (195,000) and Father Brown (190,000) followed.

On SBS it was SBS World News (159,000), Mastermind (95,000) and Zerozerozero just 61,000.

Bluey was back on top of multichannels at 207,000.

  1. Have you got any information from the AFL, Fox or Seven about Round 6 (next week) or Round 7? A press conference was just held with McLachlan and its been flipped on its head… Again! All Vic clubs on the move, with major changes to scheduled games and broadcasts. All guides are all over the stop.

    I suppose waiting until next week might provide some clarity.

  2. Any idea what the penultimate episode of HTGAWM faired? Moved to the even later time of 12.30am this morning! Aired after four hours of shows that had aired many times before. Kind of glad it’s the final ep next week. It’s exhausting finding it around 7s programming guide! Thank you David for always keeping us informed:)
