Stars to quarantine in Australia ahead of shoot

Nicole Kidman, Luke Evans, Melissa McCarthy to film Hulu series in Australia after 14 days quarantine.

Nicole Kidman, Luke Evans, Melissa McCarthy and Manny Jacinto are set to be quarantined in Australia ahead of filming for a new Hulu miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers.

Luke Evans has told Variety, “We all have to be quarantined in a hotel room.”

“I can’t see anyone for two weeks. I have to be tested every other day. Everything is going to be delivered to my room and I have to stay in a room in Australia and not leave it for two weeks just so that we can then be free to go and shoot something.”

Cast members will be encouraged to dress themselves wherever possible and have to be given the option to do their own hair and makeup, including touch-ups and removal, through virtual tutorials, where feasible.

It is not yet clear exactly where in Australia the project is set to shoot (meaning Kidman could feasibly stay at home in NSW).

Nine Perfect Strangers is based on the book by author Liane Moriarty (Big Little Lies). It takes place at a boutique health and wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. But they have no idea what is about to hit them.

Kidman will executive produce with Big Little Lies executive producer Bruna Papandrea and David E. Kelley.

An Australian broadcaster is yet to be announced.

  1. Good to see that Hulu are taking our precautions seriously in order to keep everyone safe.

If these actors can do this, is there a reason why Lindsay Lohan couldn’t travel to Australia and have a two week quarantine as well?
