Upcoming ABC drama Wakefield is set to resume filming next month following the return of British actor Rudi Dharmalingam.
He quarantined for two weeks upon arrival in Australia on July 10 after an exemption granted by Border Force.
The drama will resume filming, in Sydney, the Southern Highlands and the Blue Mountains, News South Wales after pausing several months ago. Other actors returning to Australia include Nadie Kammallaweera from Sri Lanka, and Felicity Ward, travelling back from London.
The original eight-part mystery series created by Kristen Dunphy, centres around a psychiatric hospital in the Blue Mountains. Dharmalingham plays Nik, a psych nurse blessed with a powerful combination of common sense and intuition.
The series is produced by Jungle Entertainment in partnership with BBC Studios and also stars Mandy McElhinney, Dan Wyllie, Harriet Dyer, Ryan Corr, Harry Greenwood, Sam Simmons, Bessie Holland, Megan Smart, Pacharo Mzembe, Shapoor Batliwalla, Guy Simon, Miritana Hughes, Victoria Haralabidou, Wayne Blair, Heather Mitchell and Kim Gyngell.
