Reality participant to sue over Bachelor in Paradise

Bachelor in Paradise participant Jamie Doran has taken to social media to declare he is planning to sue Network 10 and producers Warner Bros. Australia.

It follows emotional scenes in which he broke down on camera (as friend Timm threatened to walk). Doran, who has previously referred to himself int he franchise as “a stage-five clinger,” has also been subjected to social media criticism, with some questioning the show casting fragile participants.

“This is not the news I wanted to post, but I feel I owe this to at least my family, friends and also fans of The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise,” he wrote on Instagram.

“After lengthy consideration, I’ve decided to begin legal proceedings against Network 10 & Warner Bros. Australia.

“I’m not going to comment on this any further and would appreciate it if people would respect my privacy.”

Host Osher Günsberg has previously noted:

A Network 10 spokesperson said: “Network 10 has not received any papers regarding this claim.”
