Airdate: The Carmichael Show

2015 US sitcom centres around a fictional version of comedian Jerrod Carmichael's family.

Well this looks pretty awful…

2015 US sitcom The Carmichael Show screens on SBS VICELAND from Saturday.

This is a fictional version of comedian Jerrod Carmichael’s family and features Amber Stevens West, Tiffany Haddish, Lil Rel Howery, Loretta Devine and David Alan Grier.

From producer Nicholas Stoller (director of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Neighbors) and stand up comedian Jerrod Carmichael comes an irreverent family comedy.

Jerrod’s opinionated father will vote Republican if it means getting an economic stimulus payment, and his sweet mother is always, always right with Jesus. Meanwhile, his brother is consistently trying to hustle some new business idea, and his therapist-in- training girlfriend just wants to keep everything all in the family; and that won’t be easy.

5pm Saturday, 8 August on SBS VICELAND (all three seasons available to stream at SBS On Demand).

  1. “Awful” is not descriptive enough. I saw the pilot back in 2015 – that was enough. Unfunny rubbish, I can’t believe it went for three seasons!
