Freddie Flintoff in demand

Three TV projects in Britain now in play for Ninja Warrior presenter.

Australian Ninja Warrior presenter Freddie Flintoff may soon be hard-pressed to find time in his calendar for a 2021 season, judging by his popularity with UK broadcasters.

Flintoff is already a presenter on Top Gear for BBC, having already filmed two seasons.

But in recent weeks he has picked up two other UK series.

In Don’t Rock the Boat he joins AJ Odudu (The Voice UK), as twelve celebrities compete toy row the entire length of Britain. Travelling more than 500 gruelling miles, the teams will battle hell and high water to win a coastal race.

On Total Wipeout: Freddie And Paddy Takeover, he and comedian Paddy McGuinness, re-voice classic episodes of Wipeout.

“I think a lot of things have been tried over the years… but nothing’s been as good as Wipeout!” he said. “Hence bringing it back, and even watching the old episodes, it just doesn’t date. It’s still very funny. It’s fun, there’s a bit of jeopardy and it’s quite hard so hopefully it’ll go well and who knows – they might make it again!”

Flintoff dropped out of Australian Ninja Warrior last night due to COVID restrictions, with Shane Crawford returning.
