Friends reunion postponed again

No firm date in sight, until it's safe to bring everyone together.

Filming of the Friends reunion has been delayed once again due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Originally set to film in mid-March, it was pushed to May but missed being part of HBO Max’s debut in the US.

Deadline reports August 17 was the new date, but that’s out too, with no firm date in sight. Producers have always maintained it was better to wait until the show could include a studio audience (well, given we’ve waited this long….).

“Unfortunately it’s very sad that we had to move it again,” Jennifer Aniston said.

“It was, ‘How do we do this with live audiences?’ This is not a safe time. Period. That’s the bottom line. It’s not a safe time to do it.”

Also due to appear are Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry, with executive producers / creators Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane.

Foxtel is yet to confirm if it will have rights to this special.
