Leigh Sales self-isolates after a COVID-19 test whilst she awaits results, but hosts 7:30 from home.

Leigh Sales will host 7:30 from her home whilst she awaits results of a COVID-19 test.

On social media she indicated she woke up with a sore throat and runny nose.

“I’m doing the right thing. I’m at the COVID testing clinic at RPA to get checked and then I’ll be going straight home to self isolate.”

Last week the News Breakfast team also self-isolated as a precaution but returned on Monday.

  1. Fortunately in tonight’s (5 August) episode Ms Sales reported the test returned a negative result, but stayed at her residence to report anyway.

  2. Most do not like to relinquish their front of camera spots….and she probably wants to report her journey real time, not 3rd hand….👌

  3. Wow thats dedication – you’d think it’d be relatively easy to get someone else to step in for a few days, but I suppose they had all the tech set up already so good to make use of it. It’ll be interesting to see how it all works – I think this will be the first mainstream program run from home since Tracy Grimshaw did ACA for a few nights at home months ago?
