Oops. Dickie is not Rachael Wilkinson

Father & son are lost in translation in magazine profile...

Let’s hope this isn’t a sign of things to come…

The Australian Women’s Weekly has written a profile piece on Richard Wilkins and son Christian with several errors.

On his Instagram post Dickie observes:

“There’s a lovely article on @theprincewilkins and me in the new edition of @womensweeklymag that contains a couple of errors; 1) My name is not Rachael 2) Our last name is not Wilkinson 3) Estella’s name is not Estelle 4) Joel Edgerton’s name is not Russell Crowe… easy mistakes to make, and lovely photography by @julieadamsphotographer.”

In June Bauer Media sold both its Australian and New Zealand operations to Mercury Capital, which now publishes TV Week, New Idea, Woman’s Day, Who, Better Homes & Gardens, Empire and more.

  1. Magazines And Newspapers sacked all sub-editors years ago and outsourced the work. Even more staff have now been sacked during the mergers and the pandemic so hardly surprising quality is at an all time low.

    1. Probably, there are so many mistakes in all digital articles, but usually print is still okay, but god 4 biggies in AWW that’s so unusual. Yes either disgruntled or sleeping too much from working from home.
