Last week there were 2 new local dramas on our screens.
Halifax: Retribution won its slot while Hungry Ghosts failed to fire for SBS (at least in overnight broadcast numbers). Bearing in mind some of these had late night slots (and one is even on a multichannel) here are the numbers for scripted shows last week:
Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell: 616,000
Home & Away: 596,000
Halifax: Retribution: 521,000 / 469,000
Rosehaven: 490,000
The Heights: 197,000
Between Two Worlds: 126,000 / 104,000
Neighbours: 111,000
Hungry Ghosts: 93,000
Seven won the week in Total People, while Nine led the 16-39 and 25-54 demos.

How many weeks has each network won now? I think 7 won 10 in a row?
Seven had 8 in a row. I haven’t tallied up the weeks, but it’s all in the archive.
Do the time shifted numbers change this very much? I love Between Two Worlds, but its on too late to watch when telecast, so it gets recorded.
Drama definitely lifts. B2W is getting an 85% lift, for example.
… & ‘Bluey’. Never forget Bluey.
Actually, having recently had a good look at the Timeshifted Ratings that David provides, I was surprised that it’s actually the ABC which is really hitting a home run with extra viewers. ‘Vera’ is especially doing well of late. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised all that much, since iView is probably the most reliable of the catch-up’s to use.
After all the comment about shows making money did any shows other then the news make any ?? Need another stat to add to total people and demos showing each shows profit or loss to the network for the week.Numbers mean nothing if shows are not making money for you. Looks like the licence to print money for a TV licence is well in the past looking at recent financial reports released by the networks.
