FOX Sports screens Super Rugby Live this weekend from both sides of the Tasman.

With just two rounds of Super Rugby NZ Aotearoa action remaining, a title winner could be decided as early as Sunday. Kicking off Round 9, the Hurricanes go up against the Chiefs on Saturday, August 8 with Live coverage from 5.05pm AEST on FOX Sports 505.

Then on Sunday, August 9, one win against the Highlanders stands between the Crusaders winning the competition with Live coverage from 1.35pm AEST on FOX Sports 505.

Title chances of the Crusaders, Blues and Hurricanes:

• Crusaders
Currently 1st on 24 points
Need one win from their two remaining games to win the title

• Blues
Currently 2nd on 22 points
Need to beat the Crusaders in their final game (and) hope Crusaders lose to the Highlanders
There is also a chance both teams could end of 26 points, but Blues would have won more games so they would have the tiebreaker

• Hurricanes
Currently 3rd on 16 points
Need to win their remaining two games, both with a bonus point (and) hope Crusaders lose their final two games (and) the Blues win their final game without a bonus point

On home soil, the Super Rugby AU is officially halfway through the season in its sixth round of competition. 1. Lets hope that RA and NZR sort out their differences and look ahead for better days with a joined super rugby competition next year, assuming COVID-19 is under control.
Usually after Super Rugby has concluded a Rugby Championship begins, but with the Wallabies potentially losing players next year what will happen with Australian rugby union after this years reduced season is anyone’s guess.
