The Chase is now Sydney bound according to media reports, adding to previous information that upcoming Beat the Chasers would be filmed there.
Border restrictions and Melbourne’s Stage 4 have made life challenging, especially for host Andrew O’Keefe. That’s bad news for current crew who are Melbourne based, but opens up new opportunities in NSW.
The Australian reports the set is set for the Hume highway while casting will also tap into a new pool of Sydney-based contestants.
The ITV Studios show continues to win its timeslot for Seven.
Auditions are currently open for Beat the Chasers.

It’s being recorded at Carriageworks near Redfern Station.
A no-go zone for many in Sydney due to its location and difficulty getting to.
Seven has studio space at their Eveleigh hq, next to Carriageworks, so might be what you mean.
I wonder what the studio audience rules are in NSW.
If they indeed do film in the new ITV Moorebank facility, maybe it is spacious enough to allow a sizeable audience and still observe social distancing?
I watched Q and A last night and there was a studio audience of sorts…….the applause sounded like there was just a dozen or so sitting there!
Late last year ITV Studios built a new production studio at Moorebank in western Sydney for this season of The Voice. I think The Chase and Beat the Chasers will be filmed there as well.
My thoughts too. ITV was originally going to operate this year round, before COVID.
So glad that the show is coming to Sydney, I am also going to apply ASAP.
Looking forward to this and will certainly be applying to get on the show. I got through a couple of years ago but in the end couldn’t be bothered travelling to Melbourne at my own expense at the time.
