10’s longtime Sports presenter Tim Gossage is the latest casualty of 10 News cuts, departing after 31 years with the network.
On social media he revealed “It’s official I am leaving [10] in a month. Been the best 31 years & I depart having had the best time. I grew up wanting to talk sport and I was lucky enough to get paid for it. I leave sad but not bitter. Much love for everyone past and present at 10. Best job ever.”

Gossage has featured on AFL and Melbourne Cup coverage, and hosted local weekly football show, The Western Front.
He joins fellow Perth presenters Monika Kos and weather presenter Michael Schultz who were confirmed in redundancies earlier this week.
10’s Perth bulletin will be presented by Sandra Sully in Sydney, but it’s unclear if it will be Live.

Sad to see Goss go after more than 30 years at 10 :(. I enjoyed listening to his Western Front podcasts on 10Speaks. You will be missed.
Really doubt they will air all of Ten Sydney’s news into Perth. Nor would they go to the trouble of a separate hour bulletin for Perth out of Sydney.
Realistically what may happen is a re-recorded segment 1 and/or segment 2 for Perth at best They remainder most likely would be national content. Well, that’s the cheats way of doing it, anyway.
So much for an expanded role… Seems like they’re still working out what they’re doing as they’re cutting. David, Mumbrella is reporting a ‘new team’ will present Perth news – you heard anything along those lines?
New team from Sydney. Everything I’ve seen has indicated Sandra Sully reading. A chance it could be Narelda Jacobs I suppose. One meteorologist for all cities.
Narelda reads the weekend news for Perth from Sydney.
So sad to see Goss go. He was always great fun and a very nice person. Just maybe if Basil Zempilas wins the election for Lord Mayor for the City of Perth, Goss can take over and read the sport for 7 Perth. 😉
I think Baz plans to retain his media commitments even if he’s elected.
