  1. Presenters for weather can be anyone really. Newsreaders can do weather. They have weather presenters to break up news feeds. Similarly having sports presenters. Are they really needed, debatable thats for sure. Most of us can get weather info via our mobiles or internet.

  2. It actually appears 10 finally realised they needed some “local” studio talent for viewers in Adelaide and Brisbane…so viewers still felt connected did not disappear. So probably a good move considering.

  3. It seems very odd to replace Tim and Mike with a non meteorologist. Advising a meteorologist made sense when you were announcing them being replaced, but now it just sounds like you just didn’t want a roving reporting reading the weather but a studio based weather report and didn’t think that Tim and Mike were suited to that role (which I do tend to agree with)

  4. Wonder how Mike Larkin in Melb and Tim Bailey in Sydney are feeling with this news…not being replaced by a metrologist?

I am in Vic….just wondering….Has Tim done any weather reports in Sydney since the announcement serval weeks ago?

    1. To be brutal, Tim Bailey and Mike Larkan aren’t meteorologists either. I’m willing to be corrected on this, but Ch 10 hasn’t had a meteorologist on staff since Magdalena Roze.

      1. Very confident Mike and Tim are not meteorologists. 10 were going to replace them with a meteorologists…but they have not. Was actually hoping they were going to bring back Magdalena Rose. She was perfect. Presented well and had credibility.

  5. Great that they can continue in their roles. But a shame for the other weather presenters. I am not sure the Sydney viewers will warm to Josh. I find he talks in informal language like ‘spits and spats’ for rain and says ‘snap crackle and pop’ for thunderstorms. And he likes to remind viewers how the air moves around a high and low. This might be a network directive, but assumes viewers do not understand how to read weather maps. But then if Geography is diluted in the curriculum, perhaps people do not know how to read weather maps? Thoughts anyone?
