Seven has slated another Spotlight special on Sunday night, “Surviving the Crash,” looking at the economy in a time of COVID.

This is also going to air Live presented by Mark Riley & Gemma Acton, which could make for some interesting viewing.

With the Australian economy on a knife-edge, 7NEWS Spotlight this Sunday will bring together the country’s leading business minds and decision makers to plot a path forward for all Australians in a must-watch major Live television event.

7NEWS political editor Mark Riley and network finance editor Gemma Acton will moderate a dynamic round table, which will deliver real and practical advice on everything from super to real estate, mortgages, jobs, welfare and mental health.

They’ll be joined by leaders of business and industry to examine the key issues affecting the wellbeing of everyday Australians and their hip pockets in the economic crisis set to follow the coronavirus pandemic.

Together they have come up with a plan for Australia’s future and a clear message for Canberra about our economic recovery: the time to act is now.

Hear from Australia’s best and brightest including Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, Business Council of Australia CEO Jennifer Westacott, leading economists Bruce Chapman (ANU and designer of HECS), Gigi Foster (UNSW) and Nikki Hutley (Deloitte Australia partner), along with Lifeline chairman John Brogden.
