Spin-off series The Walking Dead: World Beyond will screen on Amazon Prime next month.
Starring Nico Tortorella (Younger), Julia Ormond (Gold Digger, Temple Grandin, Mad Men), Australian actor Hal Cumpston (Bilched), Annet Mahendru (The Americans), Alexa Mansour (The Resident), Aliyah Royale (The Red Line) and Nicolas Cantu, The Walking Dead: World Beyond expands the universe of The Walking Dead, delving into a new mythology and story that follows the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of the post-apocalyptic world.
Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest. Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. But all of them will find the truths they seek. The Walking Dead: World Beyond is executive produced by Gimple, Showrunner Matt Negrete, Brian Bockrath, Kirkman, Hurd and Alpert, and is produced by AMC Studios.
Update: Friday October 2 on Amazon Prime Video.

Not really because Amazon has a global deal since 2017 with AMC for any new content.
Meant to say not really a surprise not going to Foxtel.
Just in time to build an audience to fill the regular series ending next season.
The walking dead:world beyond is only a 2 season limited series that most likely lead into the Rick Grimes movies so it will finish up around the same time as the regular series
Oh snap! I thought for all money it would go to Foxtel…
Wow, that’s a surprise. The Walking Dead is massive for AMC. I’m surprised they’ve offloaded it. Some big dollars must have changed hands there.
edit : Looks like it’s still airing on AMC is the States. Must only be on Amazon in other territories. Surely Foxtel wouldn’t be happy?
