Good news for Seven with filming on Beat the Chasers completed last night.
Primetime specials, in which a single contestant takes on The Supernerd, Goliath, The Tiger Mum and The Shark, were completed under strict COVID protocols.
Both Matt Parkinson (Goliath) and Brydon Coverdale (The Shark) went into 2 weeks hotel quarantine prior to filming.
Production by ITV Studios at Carriageworks saw all Chasers separated with perspex screens and small pools of audience members socially distancing as families / couples.
With more than $500,000 as a total prize pool, the specials are due on Seven later this year.
Meanwhile new episodes of The Chase Australia will get underway soon, filmed at NEP studios, adjacent to Seven.

It’s disappointing Anne Hegerty and Mark Labbett can’t be involved. I’m bad luck for the contestants as just about every episode I’ve seen of The Chase the chaser wins.
Well they do have a 80-90% record so in theory contestants win on average less than once a week.
Because Chasers dont need to press buzzers and have their name called they have an automatic advantage
The Chasers do have an unfair advantage, production wise.
