Denise Scott quits Studio 10

Scotty quietly dropped a significant announcement on air this week.

Denise Scott this week announced she had quit Studio 10.

On Monday’s Have You Been Paying Attention? she confirmed, “I’m no longer the correspondent. I’ve been in lockdown since March, and I just simply ran out of things to correspond about!”

While it may have appeared to be a joke, Scott is indeed no longer part of the show.

On the weekend 10 announced dancer Tristan MacManus would co-host with Sarah Harris. Remaining with the show are Angela Bishop, Narelda Jacobs with Denise Drysdale, Craig Bennett and Jono Coleman as contributors.

10 had previously confirmed she would remain a contributor.

Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Natarsha Belling depart on Friday, whilst 10 is (still) in discussions with Joe Hildebrand.

There was no mention nor farewell for Scotty, who joined the morning show in April 2018, switching to Melbourne correspondent in July 2019.

  1. Denise Scott never really fit in at Studio 10. She’s a professional ‘special guest comedian’ on Have You Been Paying Attention. She’s not a social commentator, isn’t very funny; and can’t ad lib.

    1. I’d like to think that Mel, even if offered a gig at 10, could read the room well enough to see that wandering in as a highly paid star recruit, while people are being let go left, right and centre, isn’t a great look.
