Dwayne Johnson recovers from COVID-19

"This has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family," says Dwayne Johnson.

US actor / ex-wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has revealed in a social media post that he and his family have recovered after testing positive to COVID-19.

In an Instagram video he told his followers the family all tested positive about 3 weeks ago.

“I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family,” he said. “And for me personally, too, as well, and I’ve gone through some doozies in the past.”

Whilst Johnson’s two young daughters, aged 4 and 2, exhibited mild symptoms, he and his wife, Lauren Hashian, combatted a more sinister illness.

“But I am happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good. We are on the other end of it. We are on the other side. We are no longer contagious. And we are – thank god – we are healthy,” he said.

“I’ve gotten knocked about and gotten my ass kicked a little bit in the past with some challenges, but testing positive for Covid-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries or being evicted or even being broke, which I have been more than a few times,” he added.

Johnson featured in HBO comedy Ballers from 2015 – 2019 and due to film Young Rock, an autobiographical comedy about his life, in Australia.

    1. Not an ‘actor’, but a Hollywood action star-no body’s going to rush to see his Hamlet, but something with large explosions and CGI heroics, he gets bums on seats.

    1. According to his wikipedia page he lived in New Zealand for a short time. Only mention of Australia was he did a wrestling tour here, so didn’t live here it seems as ‘Young Rock’. All will be revealed I suppose when the film comes out.
