Jason Donovan joins Dancing on Ice (UK)

Actor and singer Jason Donovan has joined an upcoming production of Dancing on Ice in the UK.

He joins previously announced British celebs Myleene Klass, Joe-Warren Plant, Denise Van Outen and Faye Brookes.

“I’ve always been a big fan of winter sports, whether it’s skiing, skating, snowboarding…après skiing,” he told This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby

“My daughter Molly is very excited about me doing shapes on the dancefloor or maybe not… depending on how it goes. And also the opportunity to spend a Sunday night with you guys.”

“Skating is all about balance and confidence. I’ve done a little bit of skating in my youth, in Australia surprisingly in the heat of an Australian summer. I’ve surfed, I’ve skied a lot so I guess I’ll bring a little bit of that confidence.”

Donovan will perform before judges Torvill and Dean, John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo when the series airs in 2021.

He most recently performed in Australia in the stage musical Chicago.
