Keeping Up with the Kardashians confirms final season

Long-running reality series, which spawned an empire, will wrap in 2021.

Long-running reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians has confirmed a final season to air in early 2021.

The decision to end the show at 20 seasons was announced in a statement signed by Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Scott Disick.

“It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians” the family said.

“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spin-off shows, we’ve decided as a family to end this very special journey. We are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years — through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”

The family thanked E!, the production team at Bunim/Murray and Ryan Seacrest, who has been an executive producer on the show since the beginning.

E! released a further statement to Variety noting, “E! has been the home and extended family to the Kardashian-Jenners for what will be 14 years, featuring the lives of this empowering family,” the network’s statement reads. “Along with all of you, we have enjoyed following the intimate moments the family so bravely shared by letting us into their daily lives. While it has been an absolute privilege and we will miss them wholeheartedly, we respect the family’s decision to live their lives without our cameras.”

KUWTK has been a massive hit globally rumoured as well as generating a multimedia empire complete with clothing lines, cosmetics companies, apps and never-ending tabloid interest.

It isn’t clear if any of the cast may yet have further spin-off series.

Season 19  premieres Friday 18th September on E!

  1. Dont get why so many people were enamoured with this show. I worried for humanity. But the gravy train has hit the terminal after finally running out of steam
    14 years later. We can all rejoice.

  4. I admire the Kards. I have only ever seen a couple of small segments of their show, and that was enough. But to make so much $$$$ out of such garbage just reinforces the old adage ‘where there’s muck, there’s money’. As we battle through the depths of the covid pandemic, this bright positive news, shows that there are better days ahead. By 2022 we will be Kardashian free

    1. Jezza, I totally get what you are saying however I have no admiration for that family. Yes, they are money makers but at what cost to others. The way they have influenced and corrupted young minds, in particular young women in such a way that they are modifying their own bodies, absolutely disgusts me.

  5. As much as I am totally not a fan, and this family and show has been been responsible for the dumbing down of society in general, you can’t deny what a powerhouse it has been.
