Airdate: We are the Champions

Coming soon: a battle of Cheese Rolling, Chilli Eating, Fantasy Hair Styling, Yo-Yo, Dog Dancing & Frog Jumping.

This may be an exercise in abject stupidity (…or for Gogglebox if it wasn’t off air).

Netflix will screen quirky contest series We Are the Champions, which has battles between Cheese Rolling, Chilli Eating, Fantasy Hair Styling, Yo-Yo, Dog Dancing and Frog Jumping.

From executive producer Rainn Wilson, We Are the Champions explores the quirkiest, most charming, and oddly inspirational competitions you never knew existed. Each episode follows a unique competition, providing a window into a world of determined, passionate, and incredibly skilled competitors who put it all on the line to become heroes in their own extraordinary worlds.

We Are the Champions is a Dirty Robber production. Executive producers and directors are Brian Golden Davis, Nick Frew and Martin Desmond Roe; Chris Uetwiller is executive producer; and Rainn Wilson is executive producer and narrator.

Episode 1: Cheese Rolling
Each May, in a quiet English village, thousands of people gather to watch runners chase a wheel of cheese down a hill. A very steep hill. We Are the Champions follows competitors as they sprint, tumble and crash down the hill at top speed—risking fractured limbs and broken collar bones—to cross the finish line first and be crowned the Cheese Rolling Champion.

Tuesday November 17 on Netflix.
