Alan Jones to sue SBS

SKY News presenter Alan Jones is locked in a legal battle with SBS.

Following his shift from 2GB radio to SKY News, a retrospective on The Feed has drawn his ire.

The Australian Financial Review reports Jones alleges show defamed him with its description drawing upon widely-reported views from Cronulla Riots to COVID-19.

He is seeking aggravated damages, noting the segment’s “over-sensationalised manner”, failure to seek comment, and continued publication after his lawyers sent a concerns notice on July 31.

The suit being filed only late last week, SBS has yet to file a defence.
