Daylight Saving reminder

Clocks go forward on Sunday in several states, and may impact your Live viewing.

An annual reminder that early on Sunday morning daylight saving takes effect in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT .

Queenslanders, Territorians and West Australians take note of how this impacts your shows -and those spoilers!

Sunrise, Today and News Breakfast will screen AEDT with delays for others -but News Breakfast remains Live on ABC News channel. Some have been known to switch Live into local regions when big news breaks, especially in relation to weather or bushfires.

The Morning Show, Today Extra, Studio 10, The Project, Insiders, 7:30, A Current Affair, The Drum will all air AEDT.

Q&A is AEDT but streams Live on iview.

10 News First viewers in Queensland are likely to be delayed now that the bulletin is centralised from Sydney.

Fans of Reality TV will need to be mindful of social media use in order to avoid spoilers, notably for The Bachelorette, The Block, SAS Australia, Junior MasterChef.

Foxtel viewers not on AEDT will also need to remember those +2 channels as everything shifts by one hour.

And as I always say…. check your smoke alarm too!

  1. It also affects programs in the 2-3am timeslot on Sunday. Rage posted both daylight savings time and standard time playlists on their website. DST states and territories miss out on a showing of the Gwen Stefani solo singing career music video back catalog. Infomercials are probably not a big loss, however, DST states and territories do miss out on Kids Baking Championship at 2am on 7flix shown in standard time states and territories. Makes me think what kids or families would be watching Kids Baking Championship at 2am.
