Filming begins on The Tailings for SBS
Short form drama coming to SBS on Demand will film for 5 weeks in Tasmania.

Upcoming SBS short-form drama The Tailings will shoot this week in Queenstown, Tasmania.
Directed by Stevie Cruz-Martin (Pulse, Marrow), the 6 x 10 minute series follows a daughter’s investigation into her father’s death. It takes place in her tight-knit, remote community in the wilderness of the West Coast of Tasmania.
Up to 60 people will converge on the West Coast for 5 weeks, bringing over 900 combined nights of accommodation and patronage to the region.
The Tailings will premiere on SBS On Demand in 2021.
The Tailings is a Liz Doran Productions production for SBS, in association with 2 Jons and Roar Film. Principal production investment from Screen Australia in association with SBS. Financed with support from Screen Tasmania.
