Home Improvement actor arrested

Former Home Improvement actor Zachery Ty Bryan has been arrested in the US and accused of assault.

Bryan, 39, played Tim Allen’s eldest son Brad for 8 seasons of the sitcom from 1991–1999.

Police were called to his apartment in Oregon on Friday. Police allege Bryan assaulted his girlfriend, impeded her breathing, and took her phone away when she tried to call emergency services.

The victim declined medical assistance.

Bryan now faces charges of strangulation and assault.
