The Block tops entertainment but Seven wins Tuesday
Ratings: Nine led from 7pm - 9:30 but Seven sneaked over the finish line on Tuesday.

The Block managed to widen the gap over the competition last night, topping entertainment shows and the demos with 819,000 viewers.
That bettered SAS Australia (676,000), 7:30 (618,000), Junior MasterChef (474,000) and Outback Ringer (423,000).
Later The Trump Show led with 417,000, followed by Big Weather (411,000), Ambulance Australia (317,000) and movie: The Meg (287,000).
Seven network (just) won Tuesday with 28.6% then Nine 28.1%, 10 17.5%, ABC 17.3% and SBS 8.4%.
Seven News (973,000 / 950,000) was #1 for Seven. Home and Away (570,000) and The Chase (530,000 / 331,000) followed.
Nine News (945,000 / 945,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair won its slot at 762,000 then Hot Seat 502,000 / 325,000 but Bluff City Law struggled on just 97,000.
The Project drew 496,000 / 304,000 for 10. 10 News First was 327,000 / 208,000 and NCIS (169,000) followed.
ABC News pulled 718,000. Searching for Superhuman (213,000) and The Drum (192,000) also ranked for ABC.
On SBS it was Insight (193,000), Every Family Has A Secret (188,000), SBS World News (172,000), Dateline (116,000), Mastermind (78,000) and The Feed (just 46,000).
Bluey topped multichannels with a big 383,000.

Next year I’d pair unedited SAS with something Sundays and Mondays (if Seven get Idol going) and air it at 8:30 (I know I know, 8:45/50/55).
Best episode of SAS yet. Loving the raw interrogation of the celebrities (last night Jackson Warne) and the insight it gives you into the way they think and act the way that they do. Was also really interesting watching the argument between a couple of the celebrities. We watch the block live then watch SAS on playback straight after as Ch 7 only have one ad per ad break on playback, so it’s a really fast moving show.
I have to agree the insights are really interesting and not something you’d get from other reality shows. I felt for Mitchell last night.
SAS may need to send an SOS the way those numbers are going down.

Meh. It’s a brand new show going up against The Block and it isnt doing POO-tier numbers. Seven still won the night. I’d wait until the final episode before gauging its success but I’d say it’s going alright all things considering.
Junior MasterChef is probably the bigger worry. Ten will be nervous next year with complete unknowns for the regular season.
I learnt last week that the catch up version is uncensored, which is an excellent initiative to be honest, so guess where my viewing figure goes. (I don’t have a ratings box so my number usually goes nowhere anyway!)
Something I have previously suggested The Block could consider. So much swearing…
