ABC Upfronts 2021: what can we expect?

ABC is set to unveil the largest showcase of titles this Wednesday.

The fifth and final Upfronts for the 2021 Free to Air season takes place this week.

ABC is set to unveil the largest showcase of titles so far -but don’t expect new titles post 9:30pm.

We are also awaiting an announcement on the overhaul of ABC Comedy to Arts, Science, Education and Religion.

Spanning dozens of Australian titles in Drama, Entertainment, Documentary, Factual and Children’s TV, here’s taste of what’s in store….

  1. Two series of Mad as Hell again next year would be tops.
    Would be nice to see a commitment to Gruen early in the year for once rather than a belated announcement late in the year.
    Love The Sound but seems I’m in a small minority unfortunately.
    ABC Comedy has its flaws but there’s some good series old and new if you hunt around the schedule. I notice from late Thursday night onwards there are Doctor Who episodes daily so looks like they might already be slowly shifting the content in a different direction.
