Favourites Channels shortcut, Rotten Tomatoes data, Reverse EPG and soon 4K movies.

Fetch TV is updating Fetch Mighty and Mini boxes for subscribers.

The new update will include:

  • Option to hide / show program info in the TV Guide.
  • Added Favourites Channels shortcut.
  • Rotten Tomatoes data for TV Store Shows.
  • Reverse EPG on Channel Scanner.
  • Coming soon – Support for 4K movies (Mighty only).
  • Coming soon – New Apps such as Vevo, Kidoodle, Vimeo and more

Support for 4K movies will be coming soon. This brings the functionality to support 4K movies in the Movie Store. Once this has been rolled out to all Mighty boxes, a selection of 4K movies will be available to buy or rent.

In the coming weeks the new apps will become available at Menu > Apps >All.

The update will roll out over the next few weeks, with everyone having received the upgrade by early December (you must have a Mighty connected to a 4K television). Fetch continuee to work towards getting Disney+ but is still waiting on Disney to allocate the development resources.

It may take up to 3 days from these start dates for your box to update to the new software version 3.11. You can check your version at Menu > Manage > Settings > Device Info.

  1. I had the same issue, I bought a indoor digital Ariel with a booster , it called “all4one” from JBHIFI, you need to plug it into the mains mine works fine , hope it helps

  2. My Fetch remote has a record button & it said it was a feature that would be coming at a later date. Do we know when we will be able to record shows?

  3. I love my fetch box but if only they would work on a solution to support the signal split and poor reception/recording I get with poor weather. I have added a booster and have no issues when the aerial is connecting directly to the tv……please add that to the next update Fetch Fetch Fetch Fetch Fetch

    1. A software update may not improve the Mighty’s hardware tuner problems. TV’s are able to correct for some reception losses but PVR HDD’s don’t have that luxury.
I’m trying a new aerial, masthead amplifier and some quad shielded cable to improve my PVR’s recordings. I’ve noticed that my new neighbours are pointing their antennas towards a translator in the Blue Mountains some 26Km away. Desperate times!
(In recent years Sydneys 9 & 10 have both moved their transmitters to other sites. 9’s tall mast is due for demolition.)

    2. Hi , hope your well , can I ask where your located , as I had the same issue , but I’m in Sydney , my family live way outside and we resolve the issue with an internal digital Ariel, it had a booster built in , and we could split the cable to support the tv and the fetch box , let me know if you would like more info , best wishes

      1. I am in Melbourne about 50 south east of the CBD, next to a fairly tall hill, others in the estate have the same issue. We are now pointing towards Gippsland with the booster and it has improved a smidge but still frozen videos at times.. I only got the aerial to be able to record I’m a celeb and MasterChef and it just so happens the only channel we have issues with is 10.

Would love more info on how you sorted your issues please.
