Four Corners wraps year on a high

Ratings: State of Origin & The Block ensure Nine wins another week.

Public broadcasters ABC and SBS had success with local shows last week.

Four Corners profile episode “Inside the Canberra Bubble,” and its 2020 final, topped ABC’s week at 828,000 viewers. It also drew headlines around the country. New documentary Addicted Australia topped SBS at 239,000 viewers.

Meanwhile it was another week for Nine with State of Origin and The Block. Junior MasterChef wrapped for 10 but at the lowest of any series in the franchise.

Nine led the demos 16-39 and 25-54.

Nine won every day except Friday, which fell to Seven. ABC bettered 10 every night except Sunday.

Nine claimed victory in all cities except Perth, loyal to Seven.

Best brands last week were:

Nine: State of Origin (1.65m), The Block (Room Winner: 1.1m), Nine News (Sun: 931,000) and A Current Affair (687,000).

Seven: Seven News (965,000), Beat the Chasers (630,000), SAS Australia (Mon: 584,000) and Home & Away (515,000).

ABC: Four Corners (828,000), Media Watch (698,000), ABC News (686,000) and 7:30 (632,000).

10: Junior MasterChef (Winner Ann: 881,000), Have You Been Paying Attention? (621,000), The Sunday Project (7pm: 471,000) and The Living Room (358,000).

SBS: Addicted Australia (239,000), Great British Railway Journeys (215,000), Walking Britain’s Roman Roads (180,000) and Railways of the Western Front (178,000).

Including this week there are just 2 more weeks of survey remaining.

    And I think Seven won Friday that’s meant to say?

    Also surprised how Over 55s puller 7Two keeps creeping up all the time, has been doing some mediocre nightly shares lately (terrible 1% on numerous Sundays to start the week) and often has to face some massive shares from 7mate and 9Go! at the end of the week… Yet 7Two still ended up being #1 for the week!?
