Maureen Plavsic, who became the first woman ever to run a TV network in Australia, has died.
She became was promoted by Kerry Stokes from director of sales & corporate marketing to managing director in 2000.
But she was replaced in 2003 by ex-Nine boss David Leckie after a drop in profits. She remained in a consulting role. She served at Seven for 8 years, followed by later roles with Unilever and board roles with Opera Australia, Macquarie Radio and as a Trustee for National Gallery of Victoria.
