West Wing reunion special to screen on Foxtel, Binge after all.

Updated: In a U-turn for fans the reunion special & original "Hartsfield’s Landing” episode will screen in Australia.

Good news for West Wing fans…

Foxtel / Binge will broadcast their reunion special, A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote after all!

After previously advising the special was not being sold internationally, this will now screen, followed immediately by the original “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode.

The special marks the first time in 17 years that the original cast of the Emmy®-and Peabody Award-winning drama came together to raise awareness for ‘When We All Vote’, a non-profit, nonpartisan organisation co-chaired by Michelle Obama.

Shot over multiple days at the iconic Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles in early October, stars of The West Wing including Martin Sheen, Rob Lowe, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff and Bradley Whitford reprised their roles for a special staged theatrical presentation of “Hartsfield’s Landing”.

The Season 3 episode “Hartsfield’s Landing”, recreated for the special, focuses on the 42 votes in the remote New Hampshire town’s election, which are counted immediately and always predict the winner of that state’s primary. The episode, written by Aaron Sorkin, reinforces the importance of every single vote, while a delicate negotiation with the Chinese, who are conducting war games in the Taiwan Strait plays out.

In addition to the original cast members, A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote will feature special guest appearances, including a message from When We All Vote co-chair Michelle Obama, among others including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Samuel L Jackson, Marlee Matlin and Bill Clinton.

The original “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode will be broadcast immediately after the special, break-free at 10.00pm on FOX ONE, and is also available to watch on demand.

Named one of the best TV dramas ever made, The West Wing has won an incredible 27 Primetime Emmy® Awards (including one for The West Wing: Documentary Special), two Peabody Awards, two Humanitas Prizes, two Golden Globe® Awards, seven Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Writers Guild of America Awards, two Directors Guild of America Awards, and five Television Critics Association Awards, among many others.

A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote is produced by Casey Patterson Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted Television. Aaron Sorkin, Thomas Schlamme and Casey Patterson are the executive producers. Rob Paine is co-executive producer.

A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote Tuesday November 3 at 9.00pm on FOX ONE, followed immediately by the original “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode at 10.00pm.

On Binge from today.
