Cameras reveal how the House of Windsor risked life and limb to help the Commonwealth through wartime.

With extraordinary archive and insider commentary, this series explores the Royals’ role in wartime, including their military exploits and the importance of boosting morale at home. Many members of the royal family have seen action on the frontline in some of Britain’s most significant conflicts. Prince Philip faced the Nazis in WW2, Prince Andrew took part in helicopter missions during the Falkland’s war and Prince Harry served with the British Army on two tours of Afghanistan.
