Aussie shows win at TBI Content Innovation Awards

Wins for Lego Masters, MasterChef Australia and Inside Taronga Zoo at global trade awards.

Lego Masters, MasterChef Australia and Inside Taronga Zoo have all been awarded at TBI Content Innovation Awards.

The global awards are held by trade publication Television Business International.

Lego Masters, first produced by UK’s Tuesday’s Child Productions, took the Entertainment Format of the Year prize while the Australian version, produced for Nine by Endemol Shine Australia, took Competition Show of the Year (defeating Nine’s own The Block and Eureka’s Holey Moley).

Nine’s Inside Taronga Zoo (aka Taronga: Who’s Who in the Zoo?) by McAvoy Media won Factual Entertainment Programme of the Year, beating out One Born Every Minute Australia and Crikey! It’s the Irwins.

10 / Endemol Shine Australia’s MasterChef Australia won Series Launch of the Year beating out Survivor USA and Peaky Blinders.

WA-based White Spark Pictures won The Extended Reality Award for VR doco The Antarctica Experience.

Nick Contino from Eureka Productions was also awarded the Rising Star win.
