Report: Married at First Sight specials for Nine

Two part special being filmed could be part of Nine's plans to address scheduling changes prompted by the Australian Open.

Media reports on Married at First Sight specials being filmed in Sydney could be part of Nine’s scheduling plans as a knock-on effect from a delayed Australian Open.

Former cast members including Jessika Power, Nasser Sultan, Dean Wells, Cyrell Paule, Ines Basic, Jules Robinson, Cameron Merchant, Tracey Jewel, Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr are reportedly in the two-parter.

It’s also worth noting some of those have slammed the show… but there are also two MAFS babies who have been born, in case anybody wants to focus on the positives.

Some reports suggest this could be a spin-off, but with the Australian Open up in the air -leaving a gaping hole on the first night of 2021 ratings- Nine may well be looking at MAFS specials ahead of its 2021 season.

  1. This is amazing! I know it’s pure trash yet somehow I’m excited to see these fame hungry floozyies, especially the team from 2019. Ines and Jessica should present the news and pretend it’s normal

  2. If Nine really want to win with MAFS, the simple solution is just to bring back Talking Married on 9Life. That will 100% make them win everyday just like last year.

  3. I’m curious to see how MAFS goes in the new year. I do wonder if the events of the last year may see people turn away from telly that is really just nasty for the sake of being nasty. Or, maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part.
