  1. Thoroughly enjoyed Reef Live on both Friday and last night. Very entertaining and informative. Hamish Macdonald was the ideal host and seemed right at home in this format. Not sure he is the right guy for Q&A though.

  2. It may be non-ratings but Sunday usually remains a high viewing night. When 573,000 gets you third place and 387,000 gets you fifth it does say something about how disconnected viewers are from your product and looking elsewhere for entertainment options.

    The commercial networks put a lot of faith in their nightly 6.00pm news programs and regard them as their flagship offerings but it seems less than 5% of the national population watch them (regional figures unknown of course) which hardly makes them a representative voice. Notably, in that fairly large segment of the population making up the sixteen to thirty-nine year olds they made up only 12.5% of the Nine news watchers and 9.5% of the Seven news watchers.

    That does suggest a very mature viewership overall who may eventually age out of these programs and what will the networks do then?
