  1. Loved Jeannie Little. Wonder if she was just beginning today if she would be discovered. No Variety shows today. She was not a journo or comedian but a housewife. Was lucky to meet her in Cairns years ago and she was so fabulous.

  2. I’m not sure who’d know him but sadly an ABC Melbourne staff legend Mervyn Magee passed away on the 28th December 2020. Mervyn was the Production Secretary on Countdown for many years. If you rang the office for information or wanted tickets to see the show being recorded you had to go through Mervyn first and he ran the office with an iron fist LOL. He was also responsible for keeping a track on where in the world Molly was at any given time or what he was up to…no mean feat LOL. He also worked on The Factory with Andrew Daddo and Alex Papps where he also did on air Hollywood Reviews of old movies. He then went on to Production Manage Lift Off and many other educational and kids shows. He’ll be sadly missed.
