  1. I haven’t watched this show but the creative way US writers try to avoid the use of coarse language (and nudity) is fascinating especially because of the double-standards of showing graphic violence, which is deemed to be acceptable.
    For me the use of the word ‘Frack’ in the 1978 series Battlestar Galactica opened the door to introducing everyday coarse language, though ironically it’s mostly now used in sci-fi shows.
