Seven has confirmed its ‘mega mini golf’ series Holey Moley will tee off at 7:30pm Monday February 1st.
A week before the start of official ratings, this puts it head to head against the return of The Amazing Race Australia on 10. Both shows are produced by Eureka Productions.
Nine is yet to confirm if a Married at First Sight special will take on both shows…..
A smash hit on America’s ABC Network, Seven’s epic new family entertainment show is on course for a hole in one, with some of the country’s top golfing talent stepping onto the astroturf to take on the diabolical Holey Moley obstacles.
Golfers battling it out for glory on the championship course include: Montana Strauss (23), Australia’s number one female golfer four years running; James Carr (35), aka “The Dancing Cowboy”, who played Tiger Woods in the Australian Masters; Colette Norton (45), Australia’s #1 women’s mini golf player; pro golfer and amateur golfing champion, Becky Kay (21); and Henry Epstein (42), Guinness World Record holder for ball control.
In the first round of each episode, eight players compete in a series of head-to-head matchups. Only the four winners go through to the second round to battle it out.
Those who are victorious head straight to the final hole. The remaining two compete in the Distractor Duel for the last spot in the final three-way battle.
The ultimate winner of each episode takes home the prestigious plaid jacket, the golden putter and books a spot in the Grand Final, where they will compete for the chance to win $100,000 on the daunting last hole, the Tomb of Nefer-Tee-Tee.
It all comes down to one putt! Who will tame the wildest beast of all – the Holey Moley course?

Another show which can provide an entertaining hour of TV set to be ruined by the Aussie networks thinking everything has to air for 90 minutes 3-4 times a week.
I don’t think they’ll do that , maybe 2 nights a week will be enough but I agree with your comment.
Game on! 7 looks like they’re finally getting back on track with this.
Oh good…now I now when to turn off the TV…🤮
Yep, I think it was a bad idea on 7’s part to put this against Amazing Race…possibly smarter to program it on Tuesday or Wednesday?
I’ll probably give this show a go.
I’m amused in the promo that they mention 10 million US viewers – per capita that’s only about 750k here so not quite as amazing as it sounds!
NCIS is the top rated scripted US show which gets about 11m. HM gets about 4m in summer and has done very well.
Thanks for clarifying!
Why not Sunday? With their biggest lead in of the week and an earlier start for kids?
Seems an odd move. Maybe they scared of IAC and MAFS best of?
That will be IAC finale.
It will also be up against the second (and possibly third) episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire specials on Nine.
I will be watching TAR and tape Holey Moley and Millionaire.
Ep 2 and 3 of Millionaire are 8:30 so I’m expecting MAFS specials at 7:30.
The wat things are going now David with the Open you may be watching MAFS from February 1st for the entire season ,if they cancel the tennis 🎾.
Finally, we have an Airdate! I’m really looking forward to this show, but I will have to record it, because TAR Australia is always my first priority!
I’ll be watching TAR over this.
