Richard Hammond and Tory Belleci feature in new ‘science’ series The Great Escapists on Amazon Prime.

Two men shipwrecked together on a desert island, The Great Escapists is the story of Richard Hammond (The Grand Tour) and Tory Belleci (Mythbusters), (arguably) two of pop-science TV’s greatest minds, with nothing but their smarts and their scrap shipwreck for survival. Can they invent themselves off the island? Or will they be castaway forever? This is the engineering challenge of their lives, will they succeed and become The Great Escapists?

Friday January 29 on Amazon Prime.

  1. I saw the promo recently on Prime and was trying to work out what the show was really about. It looked like fun and I like the both of them, so i’ll give it a few episodes to properly try it out.

  2. Tory’s misadventures are well documented on Mythbusters and death with a sharpened scythe seems to stalk Richard. Put these two daredevils together on a desert island and the production crew should be wearing hazmat suits. What could possibly go wrong?
