Axed in 2020

Remember these shows we farewelled last year?

Time once more for the annual list of shows we farewelled, either at their own hand or the network.

In 2020 a number of shows (some of them very good) announced that COVID / travel restrictions inhibited their future to such an extent that they decided to call it quits. And some attributed their demise to COVID impact despite not performing well before it was ever a thang…

The Aussie list is always short due to a reluctance by networks to clarify their future.

    1. The Loop was an Australian music video show that aired on digital channel 10 Peach each Saturday from 9am to 11.30am and was hosted by Scott Tweedie, Ash London and Olivia Phyland.

  1. I’ll be missing my yearly dose of Supernatural that’s for sure, I was a lot younger when I started watching that some 15 years ago. Also will miss The 100, I was going to stop that a few years ago but watched till the end as well.

  2. Saturday mornings haven’t been the same since The Loop ended. 😢 rage has been heavily impacted by COVID news. 2020 was a bad year for Grant Denyer. Shouldn’t Family Feud be included?

  3. As always the shows I am awaiting are ‘officially undecided’: The Heights, Escape from the City and Janet King (am I still hopefully it will continue, yes, will it happen probably not, but like City Homicide on 7 not yet axed….)
Whereas Doc Martin is the only show I am waiting to see the final season

  4. I want to watch the final series of Bosch, Doc Martin, Shameless and The Magicians (probably missed this one) but not unhappy they are ending. I don’t watch any of the others.

      1. To be clear, it was a US production set in LA, not from ‘south of the border’-the parental units weren’t dead but merely deported so hardly the same thing as the original.
