Its good to see a talented aussie doing well in the USA.

Funny that network execs in the US seems to have an insatiable appetite for adapting our local duds (Pooch Perfect, Sisters, Secrets and Lies, Sit Down Shut Up etc.). I can’t seem to recall any that have been successful.
And before anybody mentions Wilfred, that was a cult favourite in Australia, so that wouldn’t fall into the “dud” category by any stretch.
Of course the footnote to this is that Seven Studios created the show, decided that development is too risky, sold Seven Studios international arm to Beyond which now owns the UK and US versions. Update: “Seven continue to financially share in the success of the Pooch Perfect IP” -Seven.
The show was a disaster what are they thinking.
The show actually wasn’t that bad. The UK version actually seems to work better. There will be a audience.
It tanked becausr Seven insisted on a main channel prime time slot, apart from it not having the niche audience here.
The US has a huge demand for content of sny kind, and a name like Rebel will draw a market. Who knows where and when it will screen 10pm on The Animal Channel?
On ABC.
