Renewed: Bridgerton

Season 2 of Netflix melodrama to shift focus to Lord Anthony Bridgerton.

Bridgerton has been renewed for a second season by Netflix.

The announcement was made via a letter from the mysterious Lady Whistledown (voiced by one Julie Andrews) online.

“The ton are abuzz with the latest gossip, and so it is my honor to impart to you: Bridgerton shall officially return for a second season,” she writes. “I do hope you have stored a bottle of ratafia for this most delightful occasion. This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities.

“However, gentle reader, before you set the comments section alight with requests for more sordid detail, know that I am disinclined to report on the particulars at this time,” the latter continues. “Patience. after all, is a virtue.”

Starring Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne Bridgerton and Regé-Jean Page as Duke of Hastings and  Jonathan Bailey (pictured) as Daphne’s eldest brother Lord Anthony, the series is produced by Shonda Rhimes.

No dates have been set as yet.

    1. Season 2 still has Shonda Rhimes in creative control doesn’t it?.
I know nothing about season 2 or the books, but I can’t imagine anything would creatively change much as far as diversity is concerned, I suspect the shows diversity helped greatly with season one’s success, especially Simon, though Phoebe isn’t too bad to look at either.

  1. I really enjoyed season 1 and looking forward to season 2 although i’m hearing rumours that the Duke and Duchess might not be returning 🙁 I know the focus was always due to shift but wouldn’t be the same without them i don’t think.
