A teaser has been released for upcoming US comedy Young Rock, which tells a fictionalised version of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s upbringing.

While this will screen in the US in February, it was filmed in Queensland.

Adrian Groulx and Bradley Constant play the Rock’s younger selves at 10 and 15 years old, respectively, with Uli Latukefu at 20.

The pilot was co-written by Nahnatchka Khan Fresh Off the Boat and co-executive producer Jeff Chiang.

An Australian broadcaster is yet to be announced.
