Amazon Prime Video members can now rent or buy video titles via the app, on their iPhone or via Apple TV.
Previously customers browsing Transactional Video on Demand content on Prime Video apps on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV would see “Add to watch list” and “How Do I Watch This?” messages and could only watch the videos purchased elsewhere.
Customers can now rent or buy hundreds of thousands of video titles – including new-release movies, TV shows, classic movies, award-winning TV shows, and Oscar-nominated movies – all directly from the Prime Video app on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch (iOS 12.2 or later) and Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD.
The feature was previously available in the United States, United Kingdom and Germany, but is now available in Australia and Canada. Amazon says the feature now also allows non-Prime members to use the service on iOS and tvOS.
